Bullet Journal Water Trackers

I am really horrible about making sure I was drinking enough water. I’ve tried a lot of different things and I’ll do well for awhile and then all of a sudden I’ll be reaching for soda instead of water. So in February I am tracking my water intake in my bullet journal. Just to make sure I stay on track.

If you’ve found yourself reaching for juices, soda, or other sugary drinks instead of water this post is for you. Making sure you are drinking enough water is key to good health. This post will help you figure out the best way to track your water intake in your bullet journal.

Why To Track Your Water Intake

I suck at making sure I’m drinking enough water. I have this really awesome water bottle to help but the time trackers don’t always help.

I have to make sure I’m up and drank my coffee by 8 am so I can stay on top of it all day long.

This month though I started tracking my water intake in my weekly planner to see if it’ll help. While the first week is a little rough, I’m getting better at being more mindful of my water intake.

Stay Hydrated

Tracking your water intake will make sure you are staying hydrated. Most headaches and body aches are actually caused from not drinking enough water.

The first signs of dehydration are headaches and body aches. Tracking your water can help stop these small aches before they start and become something worse.

Be Healthier

We all know sugary drinks – like soda – is bad for you. Making sure you are drinking enough water will help to make sure that you are not reaching for the soda instead. This will help to keep your blood sugars under control too.

Improve Brain Function

Staying hydrated helps you to make sure your brain is functioning in the best way. It helps to regulate your mood, improve your concentration, and reduce feelings of stress.

Have Better Skin

If you already track a skin care routine in your bullet journal adding a water tracker can be a part of that. Drinking water is one of the best things you can do to improve the health of your skin.

How To Track Your Water Intake

A simple grid format like the one below can work for tracking water each week. However, if you aren’t ready to commit to tracking your water intake in your bullet journal there are other ways to track.

Get refillable glass water bottles or tumblers about 6-8 of them depending on size and how many bottles you want to drink in a day. Fill them up the night before with a goal to drink them all the next day.

I personally found these water bottles to be perfect for me. As I empty one I refill and grab the cold one from the fridge. My goal is to drink 3 a day.

You could also keep a white board or chalkboard in your kitchen to keep a water tracker each day.
